DP_AEM student won best poster communication at MICROBIOTEC'17

Cátia Pereira won the best poster communication award in the thematic symposium "Molecular Microbiology and Microbial Physiology" at MICROBIOTEC17 with the work entitled “Exploring a novel effect of lactoferrin on the plasma membrane towards the elucidation of the mechanisms of action: from yeast to human cells”.

MICROBIOTEC’17 was organized on 7-9 December 2017 by the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto. In its 7th edition, the joint congress of the Portuguese Society of Microbiology and the Portuguese Society of Biotechnology, aimed once more to create a forum of discussion and platform of collaboration of national and international researchers and relevant stakeholders in areas as diverse as Industrial and Food Microbiology and Biotechnology; Environmental Microbiology and Biotechnology; Health Microbiology and Biotechnology; Molecular Microbiology and Microbial Physiology; Bioprocess Engineering; Cellular Microbiology and Pathogenesis; Genomics and Systems Biology and Emergent technologies.
